End Back Pain Training:

Olwen Edwards is a highly experienced trainer with many years of running training courses in formal and informal environments, for both individuals and for groups.

As well as training individuals both hands on and hands off, She has run a series of Introduction to The Alexander Technique group courses aimed at novices covering every day activities such as:

 

  • Active sitting

  • Sitting and standing up with good practices

  • Bending and lifting

  • Walking up and down the stairs

  • At the computer

  • In your car

  • Sleeping positions

  • Reaching out and carrying

  • Walking

  • Activities like: gardening, running, cycling, housework, singing, playing an instrument, sport, performing arts

Olwen tailors courses to suit individuals or groups, based on their level of knowledge, experience, and particular personal and workplace challenges.

She recognises that available time and budget are crucially important factors to build into clients programmes.

Olwen Edwards  MSTAT is an experienced registered Alexander Technique Teacher.

She has been STAT registered since her 3 year full time first degree level training and qualifications (from 1999 - 2002, at NETCAT in Leeds), up until 2021.

She is currently a FHT professional member and on a register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

She is proud to be 1 of only 1,000 UK registered Alexander Technique Teachers in the UK.

Olwen is based in Halifax, Yorkshire helping to end chronic lower back pain.

She has successfully utilised the Alexander Technique with her adult and child clients for:

Poise and Posture -

reducing stress, anxiety, aiding relaxation

Performance -

opera, music, dance, drama, sport

Pain -

back, shoulder, knee, wrist, rsi, Parkinsons, osteoporosis, cerebral palsy, polymyalgia, migraines and more

 

Personal Development and Confidence -

speaking in public, voice loss, anxiety, stress assertiveness, inability to speak up and set boundaries.

Delighted to confirm that Olwen Edwards trading as EndBackPain Today, has previously been registered to deliver training for the LEP skills service.

*The LEP skills service is delivered by a consortium, which is made up of Calderdale College, Leeds City College, West and North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and Industry on behalf of the West Yorkshire Consortium of Colleges.

 

It has been partly supported by HM Government with Employer Ownership funding to provides skills support to small and medium sized businesses. The LEP skills service helps businesses to identify their skills needs based on their business growth objectives and then find the right training for them.
